Play Berkshire Red
The Courses
The Berkshire Golf Club offers two stunning world class golf courses. The two courses, Red and Blue, were both laid out on 372 acres of stunning Crown Estate heathland in 1928 by Herbert Fowler, who also designed Walton Heath, and Cruden Bay. Among the great course architects of the era, he had a special talent for designing courses of great natural beauty which blend into their landscape and surroundings. The Berkshire courses are considered by some to be the finest examples of his follow-the–land style. A tribute to his skill is that very few, and only minor alterations have been made to his original design. He had the perfect natural materials, with heather, trees, slopes and streams, and his talent has meant that nature and man have combined to fashion two courses which are both highly picturesque and offer an exacting, but fair challenge to golfers of all levels.

Play Sunningdale
Sunningdale Old & New Courses
Sunningdale’s Old Course was designed by twice winner of The Open Championship, Willie Park Junior and opened in 1901. The land on which it was constructed belonged to St. John’s College, Cambridge and mainly consisted of heather, gorse and pine trees. There were no shops, no railway station, and no Ridgemount Road, merely a bridle path over the property running, as it still does, across the 2nd of the Old and continuing across to the 9th green of the New Course.
Sunningdale is the quintessential English Club and as close to Augusta National as any club in the British Isles. Golf is the only thing that matters at Sunningdale.
The Old Course is today considered one of the greatest courses in the World and is regularly found in the top 30 of the world’s rankings.
"All that one would hope to find in the ideal golf club is in abundance at Sunningdale."
New Course
Sunningdale’s New Course was designed by renowned Architect and former Secretary, Harry Colt and first opened in 1923. It was commissioned following the end of the First World War, as membership figures were recovering rapidly and transport to the Club was becoming easier with the development of the motor-car. The amount of golf played was increasing, and the Committee was concerned to reduce the pressure on the Old Course. The New Course is considered to be the more rugged, with less bunkering and tree lining than its older sibling. Narrow winding fairways bordered by penal heather, act as corridors to the small and often raised greens.

Play St. George's Hill
St George’s Hill Golf Club is home to a course that is a perfect example of classic design and picture-perfect presentation.
St George’s Hill Golf Club sits in the Surrey stockbroker belt, an area packed with heathland golf of the very highest order. Many keen golfers consider the Red/Blue combination here to be as good as any in the area.
Everything here is premier league, from the undulating pine-clad holes to the very distinctive and characterful clubhouse. The course was designed by arguably the greatest architect of all time, Harry Colt and it opened for play in 1913. The run through the most magnificent pine and over abundant, and at times punishing, heather. In the summer, it is an absolute picture and is rightly near the top of the list of the best inland golf courses in the UK.
